FOREVER 21 X MEG MAGAZINE FEATURE

This is the December-January Meg Magazine issue where the lovely Kathrine Bernardo is the cover. I know this post is a bit late but here it is! It was taken last year around October with 21 other stylish girls that won the Threebies My Way Forever 21 contest. Over Here’s a lookback on the BTS shoot of this feature here.  To Chelle Yuso of Makeup Designory, much thanks!

The spread was a style feast! They clustered us to four groups with each key piece to play around with different concoctions and I was in the cropped top group. And oh please don’t bother to see the details. I know, I was the oldest among the models haha! I must admit I’m a bit of a late bloomer but still happy to receive comments that I look years younger than my calendar age (self-conceited right here! haha)

This was one heck of a surprise in 2013, have not seen it coming but happy and privileged to experience to be one of Forever 21’s faces. Scroll down for  more of my behind-the-scene photos.

BTS: FOREVER 21 X MEG MAGAZINE SHOOT

I came in just right in time (it was a great feat for me since the call time was 8AM haha!) but I was the last to come among the models or should I say they are just too early. (Excuses! Haha!) Because of that I was the last to prep up, waited for a couple of hours just glad my cousin tagged along with me.

Finally, before my eyes get puffy and sleepy they called me inside. First stop, Makeup! I got thrilled when I knew it was MAKEUP DESIGNORY who’ll pretty-fy us! I’ve been spotting to enroll here soon. *wink* I met Chelle Yuson, a very warm and friendly MUA. I love that she welcomed my bulleted questions and shared a bucketful of useful tips and experiences. Thankies!!!

Another couple of hours passed in my makeup chair, the coloring stopped and tada! The stylist recommended a smokey eyes and neon lips, she wanted a Korean look on me.

Next was my hair. The direction was to give me a messy loose curl. Then I slipped on my outfit prepared by the Forever 21 team. I wasn’t that confident with my packaged look, I thought that I looked quite mature but i trust the creative team. I’m just crossing my finger to translate a good photo out of it all. But still thankful for the wonderful experience! Back at my work in ABS-CBN, I used to be with the clients scrutinizing at the back of the camera but now the table was turned and it feels quite different (in a good way).
